Four Years of Podcasting

In Podcasts, The Trekzone Spotlight, TREKZONE.org Interviews

Started in 2003 as a high school IT project, TREKZONE.org was the beginning of an adventure I didn’t know I wanted to have. But ten years later, with a resurgent site, I began podcasting as a way of creating original content.

While Anthony Montgomery was the first to sit down for a chat, it’s Supanova’s Lionel Midford who deserves a special shout out for trusting me – a fresh faced new comer to interviewing his guests because, after all, the stars aren’t brought to town for the media… they’re here for the fans.

Elsewhere, Doug Drexler and Larry Nemecek (well respected Trek alumni) have been very generous with their time to me, both in studio and via Skype (Larry three times, Doug twice!) Rod Roddenberry has also humbled me with his time twice.

In the months to come, I’m revisiting the episode reviews with second releases and will be updating the index pages of The Original Series, The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager and Enterprise with the interviews I’ve conducted with cast and crew from each of those series. Meanwhile, check out the podcast landing page for all of the interviews, spotlights and SciFi Weekly’s!
