The Trekzone Review

And Deep Space Nine gets just that little bit darker with another shade of grey added into the paint mix. A few things here that foreshadow events to come, especially Grandpa Joe’s comment about the Changeling’s being able to defeat the blood screening test – they do. He is our moral compass and speaks out against all of the negative changes happening around the planet.

I wonder whether all of these events would have taken place if the Federation ideals weren’t pushed and tested by the colonists in the Cardassian DMZ. Surely it must’ve been shock to see so many humans and other people rebel against the Federation, staying to fight for their homes rather than just agreeing to what the diplomats demanded. That would, surely, make many people question what they really believe in.
