Our Captain’s faith in things not quantifiable by science is put to the test here. She tried once before when she asked Chakotay to help her explore a vision quest but obviously that wasn’t convincing enough to help her understand that there are others that believe in things that can’t be explained.
As for Kes, she didn’t do much this episode except poke around, get zapped by an energy field and lie unconcious on a biobed!
