Synopsis

The matriarch of the House of Martok challenges Worf and Jadzia’s marriage…

The Trekzone Review

A nice segue into the continuing lives of our characters, the war is still going on and our crew have just returned home… but that doesn’t mean that life stops. Plans and weddings are afoot, especially when Alexander is being posted to another ship.

Jadzia throws a wild party and slaps Sirella, the matriarch of the House of Martok, in the face for daring to try and stop it while Worf, Martok, O’Brien, Sisko, Bashir and Alexander journey to Kal’Hyah enduring all sorts of pain as tests of their endurance. It’s a juxtaposition that worked really well and highlighted each personality, Worf spiritual and Jadzia just wanting to have a good time.

Eventually, with some persuasion from Sisko, Dax realises that she can’t keep relying on the fame of Curzon in the Klingon society and must start again. The ceremony was beautiful, albeit missing Enterprise crewmembers.
