The genetically engineered Humans return to the station where Bashir performs revolutionary surgery to break Sarina's cataleptic state...
Our good Doctor receives a healthy dose of humility after falling for his patient, the lovely Sarina who wasn't so fortunate with her genetic modification surgery. This sequel to last season's episode wasn't so much about the ramifications of genetic modifications, but rather the recovery from the black market operations.

Poor Sarina had been isolated for so long that she didn't know how to feel, this is DS9 doing what it does best... and of course it was written by René Echevarria, that man just gets personal stories.
