This week's lesson: accepting those with different abilities. When Tam Elbrun comes aboard as the mission specialist for this critical assignment the tension is clear and it's Riker who harbours the most animosity. Unfortunatley, with the idylistic vision of the future that is so inherint with The Next Gen, we don't get to see this conflict fleshed out more than Tam blurting out his objection to Riker's thoughts after the conference.

I'm left wondering whether watching all of the special features from this season's BluRay set has changed my perseption of the series...
