Lieutenant Barclay begins to exhibt profound intelligence after an alien probe makes contact with him. Eventually he hooks himself into the computer and hurtles the Enterprise into apparent danger.
Barclay's back! And I think this was the perfect script for him. Dwight adds some depth to Barclay that breaks the mould of the typical Starfleet officer... and that's a good thing. Mr. Barclay proves that humans in the 24th century are fallible.

Troi and LaForge tell Barclay that this experience will change him, in ways that he can't even imagine now... and I think that's true, especially what he accomplishes with Voyager.
