At Bilana III, the Enterprise is participating in tests on a new propulsion method - the soliton wave. Meanwhile, Worf's son, Alexander, comes to live on the ship...
The B-plot with Alexander and Worf was very slow even for a character driven storyline, and felt very forced to establish some challenge for Worf - who would surpass any physical challenge. A lot of respect for Mrs. Kyle, the teacher, who stood up to Worf a few times.

As for the soliton wave, you knew it was never going to work because it would've radically changed our ships!
