After a brief encounter with a 29th century Federation timeship, Voyager is hurled back to Earth 1996. To get home again, the crew must find the timeship's Captain - who crash landed 30 years earlier...
Much like Deep Space Nine's 'The Jem'Hadar', Future's End provides the series it's jump start... the point where the series went from getting started to getting stuck into what it wanted to tell and do with the remaining time it had. Some great moments kick off this two-parter (only the second of the series) including Tuvok's constant referral to their 'friends' and Chakotay and Janeway's curiosity with the period!

And lets not forget the short scene with Neelix and Kes monitoring the 'local transmissions' only to be swept up in the soap opera genre!
