Tuvok and Paris work with local astronomer Rain Robinson to stop Henry Starling - the man who intends to launch the timeship to travel to the 29th century.
The Doctor gains some new freedom - although he doesn't know how much yet - with the mobile emitter thanks to some nifty 29th century technology. Meanwhile, Tuvok and Paris learn the finer nuances of the late twentieth century culture they are stuck in for the moment. Sarah Silverman provides a stellar performance as the astronomer who gets in way over her head.

One thing that bugs me is the lack of any mention of the Eugenics Wars though...
