Responding to a distress call, Voyager finds a ship occupied by a sole hologram. Trying to help, The Doctor discovers the hologram's terrible secret...
I'm starting to draw a lot of similarities between The Next Gen's fourth season and Voyager's, both give an episode each to their main characters to allow them some quality screen time to grow and become more endearing to us as the series reaches it's midway point.

This episode is no different, giving the Doctor some time to realise he doesn't have it too badly as this isomorph explains his difficulties in being accepted by the organics. Leland Orser was brilliant in his psychopathic changes in emotions.
