Despite many reports on-line today, there has been no confirmation to Trekzone by Paramount about the future of the fourth installment in the Kelvin-verse film saga, following Chris Pine walking away from negotiations over twelve months ago.

Quentin Tarantino is rumoured to be penning a film while new rumours indicate the film studio – currently undergoing probable merger operations with former fellow company CBS – is courting Noah Hawley of Legion and Fargo acclaim, to write and direct with J.J. Abrams to produce most likely through his Bad Robot production company.

Interestingly, Hawley had written a script for Doctor Doom, the Fantastic Four villian, but that seems to have some braking action applied.
