Here’s a different take on the events of the series premiere, apparently Voyager destroyed him and has caused nothing but death and destruction in the ten months following. Everyone is very low key about the whole potential to get home after some letdowns in the past. The mention of Voyager being a destructive force travelling through the quadrant will become a sub-plot thread throughout much of the series, next mention is in Resistance.

The moment where Janeway fires the modified weapon at Suspiria was a defining moment for her, proving that she’s starting to accept that fighting maybe the better option sometimes…
