An over-worked and stressed Kira is ordered to relax by Bashir. While at Quark’s she meets Commander Riker, but during a tour of the Defiant, he reveals his true identity…

The Trekzone Review

I love writing those synopses, building a bit of suspense… and then I write my review and give away the secret! So, ready? Here goes — Commander Riker is actually Tom Riker, the transporter duplicate that the Enterprise rescued a couple of years back, and not only that he’s here to steal the Defiant.

This episode continues to build the ‘threat’ posed by the Maquis, the threat that – I believe – would inevitably force Starfleet to take a more active role in shutting them down (hence Voyager tasked with finding the Val Jean.) This episode also helps build a few more shades of grey to Dukat and also creates a fleet of starships that the Cardassian Obsidian Order will use later in the season.
