Devil’s Due

The Enterprise responds to a distress call from Ventax II. The planet is in chaos as the return of their “devil” is imminent…

The Trekzone Review

An episode about ones fears, starting off with Data portraying Scrooge on the holodeck to an impressed Picard. Ardra was an interesting villian-of-the-week, not the usual stock standard enemy that the Enterprise encounters… but someone that dresses up standard tech to make it appear that she is all knowing and all powerful.

I loved Picard’s drive to expose her as a fraud, and their admiration for the art of the con. And then there was the moment Ardra beamed Picard down to the planet in his PJ’s. Data’s emotionless responses to Ardra’s outbursts in the arbitration provided more light heartedness to this ep as well.

When Picard took over the powers, I love that he chose clicking his fingers (a homage to Q.)
