I’m sorry, what!? Crusher and her medical team are veterinarians now? And Spot is a she, and she is pregnant? When and how!? Oh, there a dozen male cats on board… and Spot gets out. Oh geez. As for the A-plot here, it was just another chance for Data to save the day while everyone got to let their hair down.
While it was another interesting episode (that would be duplicated a few times in Voyager.) there isn’t a lot more to say about this installment… although Troi gets the line of the episode when lamenting Barclay’s unfortunate experience – ‘I’m going to clear my calendar for the next few weeks…’
