When a freighter crash lands on Turkana IV, Tasha’s home world, the Enterprise is joined by her sister, Ishara who seems to have ulterior motives…

The Trekzone Review

Loved the cold open to the poker game with Riker trying to hustle Data… but our beloved android saw right through it and took the winnings! Hard cut to an emergency situation and we’re into this weeks action. It was interesting to watch Data react to Ishara’s presence more than the others – who had the typical emotional range.

Data’s explanation of how he can have friends was a nice homage to what he has said in the past, the cold blank explanation of missing sensory inputs when they have become expected just sums up how far Data has come in eighty episodes. Ultimately though, Data’s naivety towards people played right into her betrayal and that was hard to watch… but everyone was taken in by her ruse and that sort of made it easier to deal with.
