Opening diplomatic relations isn’t that easy, especially with a species that is as strict as the Kadi. Neelix learns that the hard way as the Ambassador samples every ‘distraction’ possible. Meanwhile, The Doctor continues to coach Seven of Nine and begins to fall for her. I think that has to be one of the sweetest plots we’ve followed in this series, but I’m not sure whether it would ever work.
The Doctor reached for our heart strings when he tells a holographic Seven how he feels, only to be told by the real one moments later that she hasn’t found any suitable companions on board.
