Another O’Brien must suffer episode and this time he’s the only one that can save the station from a secret plot to destroy the wormhole. In the end our Chief is replaced by the future version of himself, something that would’ve been nice to have been referenced sometime in the future…
spoiler… The arc of the Romulans intentions to confront the Dominion threat head on begins here and will conclude three episodes later. It’s a very typical Romulan tactic of pulling the strings from the shadows, not being overt about revealing their intentions.
