Following reports Morn’s shuttle was destroyed in an ion storm, Quark learns that he’s the sole beneficiary to the loyal customer’s estate… including a sizeable stash of latinum. However, Morn’s old acquaintances come looking for their slice of the currency…
Some mixed reviews on this episode, notably from Armin Shimmerman who mused that Morn was always only supposed to be a background character but now here he is taking ‘centre stage.’ But you know what, this episode works on a few levels… most memorably for me is that we don’t actually see Morn until the very end, leaving Quark to work his way through the mystery.
It was nice for Quark to take the lead for the first time this season, which is a change of pace from the previous episodes.
