It’s been close on five years since we first heard the name Axanar, and there’s still been no follow up to the critically acclaimed Prelude to Axanar. Probably because all of the key players moved on long ago and one man continues to suckle from the teet of generous and loyal followers. Axamonitor’s Carlos Pedraza is back for our second part of this catch up.

It’s the Star Trek Fan Film that’s been promised for five years. After putting our coverage aside for eighteen months, it’s time to check in with Axamonitor’s Carlos Pedraza to see if any progress has been made.
Many folks doubted whether he’d make it to this point, some questioned whether he ever actually would, but Alec Peters has wrangled a cast and crew together for the first of three shoots for the Axanar short films permitted under his settlement with CBS and Paramount almost three years ago.
