It’s another sad day for the Star Trek community as beloved actor Leonard Nimoy has died aged 83, following a lengthy battle with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Nimoy, of course, played Mr. Spock throughout The Original Series – being one of the few characters carried over from the ill-fated pilot The Cage.
Before Star Trek Nimoy had a few minor roles in film and television through the ’50’s. After Trek he was part of Mission Impossible for two seasons, and most recently on J.J. Abrams-helmed Fringe.
Nimoy is survived by his wife, Susan and children Adam and Julie. My sincerest condolences to them, he was beloved by so many.
