Despite many reports on-line today, there is no official word about the future of the fourth installment in the Kelvin-verse Star Trek film saga.

The fourth Kelvin film was announced before 2016's Beyond, but it's yet to get past the development phase. Now it seems the January reports from trade magazines are accurate - Star Trek 4 is shelved.

Bear with me on this Sunday afternoon... as I ponder a question that's been swirling in my brain since news broke about director SJ Clarkson's availability to direct the Games of Thrones prequel.

Chris Pine and Chris Hemsworth have reportedly walked away from negotiations for their services on the upcoming Star Trek movie. The rest of the principal cast are expected to follow....
