Well, that was a little bumpier than I’d hoped… but Trekzone is back on Australian shores for the first time in ten years and it feels good!

After GoDaddy gave up the ghost on helping me in timely manner, I decided it was high time to look around to see if I was getting the best bang for my buck – and it fast became apparent that I was not. Enter Rack Servers, the new home of Trekzone. The team got me setup in an expedited fashion and made sure I was running smoothly, even as we ticked past 11pm last night – thanks Nick!

All 68,000 files spent about eight hours moving in but finally this morning saw the site settling in to it’s new home save for one small problem… the database was corrupt and half of the config files weren’t transferred!

Enter another awesome dude – Nathan at Burger Digital – who spotted the mistake in five seconds and applied the patch.

There’s still a few things broken around the place, the episodes need to move into their new home as well.. but I’m getting there, and finally Trekzone isn’t running on eight year old hardware.
