The Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite – or TESS – has found a special kind of exoplanet.

TOI 1338 b, as it is now called, is TESS’s first circumbinary planet, an exoplanet orbiting two stars.. or Tatooines – central research for Trekzone guest Rajika Kuruwita’s research. The discovery was featured in a panel discussion yesterday at the 235th American Astronomical Society meeting in Honolulu.
