Prodigy (2021-22?)
As Star Trek continued to expand on Paramount+ it was decided that a “whole of family” approach should be taken, meaning shows for different demographics – success had already been seen with Lower Decks so focus turned to the kids and in partnership with Nickelodeon Prodigy was created.
However, before the second season could pick up where the incredible first finished, executives in suits – sitting in a Paramount board room – decided Prodigy should be sacrificed to obtain a tax write off for the series.
