Production Fortnight Delayed
Two pieces of bad news for followers of Eternal Night… the “anchor” pieces for the season one finale (aka, 5NEWS) did not happen due to actor unavailability at the last minute (This happened last month, but the story has been held over -Matt.) And real world issues have struck the lead actor for season two, making him unavailable for the revised production fortnight in October.
But, because I think the actor will portray Ryan Mackenzie in the way I imagine… I have decided to not recast the role, but move the fortnight to accomodate. It’s not a major issue… the release dates for the five eps won’t be affected and it’ll make for an awesome Christmas / New Year period.
Ryan will now also be anchoring the special 5NEWS bulletin on New Years Eve. We’ll be filming that in August – more details below…
The one good thing is that there is more time to work at the second job… to save the money I need… to make the series even better!
John Hughes Signs On
Local car dealer, John Hughes, has signed on as Eternal Night’s first sponsor… I’m very grateful to Mr. Hughes for loaning me a vehicle for season 1’s August shoot… it will allow the crew and I the freedom to get the shots right for the various locations to make the “news bulletin” happen.
Principal Season Two Location Confirmed
We’re heading to Dunsborough! Located in WA’s amazing south west, Dunsborough is tucked away overlooking Geographe Bay. Ryan Mackenzie’s home is technically “in the suburbs” … but I’ve taken creative license on this one! Photos will be added shortly.
A huge thanks to Anita, the owner of the magnificent 4 bedroom property, for giving me a discounted rate for a week of filming! (I’ll add a link to the property once filming gets underway…)
