Trekzone’s the only podcast with press credentials to the biggest Trek convention this side of Alpha Centuari, and we’re live tweeting from many of the panels.
Closing out the opening day on Wednesday, Brent Spiner dropped a hint about the forthcoming Star Trek: Picard when quizzed by a fan about his appearance:
I am delighted to be part of the show and all I am, is a part of the show…I want to make it semi-clear, because I don’t want to make it too clear, that I am not a regular on the show. Data did die at the end of Nemesis. But I am on the show. I do make appearances. Data’s story is a part of the thread of show.
Up until this point to be honest, I have only worked with Patrick on the set.
Spiner elaborated earlier in his appearance about why he opted to return, mentioning that he was simply asked nicely. Interestingly, in our opinion, Spiner suggested Nemesis – often panned as it is – is worth another look after so many years have passed.
