SYNOPSIS
Following an accident that horribly disfigures Captain Christopher Pike, Spock fakes a message from the former Enterprise captain and steals the ship intending to return Pike to Talos IV… the only forbidden planet in the Federation.
REVIEW
This… this is where the series gets going. The trio dynamic begins to take shape with Bones and Kirk struggling to understand why Spock would disobey orders. We also get some of our first glimpses – in cannon – of the way things work with the computer and Starfleet orders.
