Thanks largely to politics, it appears Trump’s “creation for the ages” – Space Force is here to stay.
Disbanding the newest branch of the US Military would take a bipartisan act of Congress, and in the current climate that just doesn’t seem likely. And while the name and even the logo – very similar to that of the Starfleet Command patch – seem farcical, it is serving a very real and practical purpose in organising the United States Space capabilities, previously the domain of the Air Force.
