The Hope Mars mission becomes the first in a series of independent missions to the red planet expected to arrive over the coming months.
The United Arab Emirates probe will study the Martian atmosphere from orbit. And while the UAE has it’s name on the mission, it was truly an international collaboration to get to this point with the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics in Colorado and launched on a Japanese HIIA rocket.
