CBS Television has taken a big step forward at their upfront presentations in New York, releasing the first details about the upcoming TV series. While the following trailer is merely CGI with a VO it does hint at a couple of interesting plots of the new series… the key one being the plural ‘New Crews.’
Could the rumours of an anthology series be true? We’ll just have to wait and see, but for now – watch the trailer:
CBS has confirmed the series will film in Toronto, Canada starting later in the year. Meanwhile, there’s been plenty of debate on-line about the pay-per-view model that CBS is taking with this series, however they will still be optioning off broadcast rights to international markets, including Australia. Current Trek TV rights holder Network Ten has advised that they are working with CBS Television to secure a deal.
