The first of a few holodeck escapade stories for The Next Generation. This one establishes, for the first time, some of the ground rules… although there is no mention of the safety protocol, and the goons took an unusally long time to disappear once they stepped off the holodeck
(Although, one could believe that some holo projectors are facing the door so that there is still a bit of line of sight outside… but once they turn away from the door that’s when they go… then maybe too many holo characters were doing that so that’s why Starfleet had to reign in the projectors…?)
