I spotted a flat screen TV! But as for the storyline, I’m afraid the writer just referenced the old Trek ‘go-to’ guide and copied and pasted so many episodes before this one… a figure from ancient Earth history was actually and left Earth for a lonely existance on a planet and the Enterprise just happens to find them despite all the space in the galaxy…
